Sketchy Fun With Card Patterns

Hi Everyone.

I found a really great site that offers a weekly dose of inspiration. Whether you're just in a momentary rut or enjoy a dose of constant creativity, this is the place to go. They also have a "Super 6" contest. To participate, all you need to do is create a card using their weekly sketch and leaving your link. Here's Sketch 101...

I really had a lot of fun using this sketch. So much fun in fact, that I made two cards. For my first creation, I decided to use a DCWV Mediterrean Cafe Paper Pack that I got out of Mom's purge pile. We always go through each others purges before we actually get rid of something.

I've been wanting to try some pleated paper on a card and I thought this card was the perfect opportunity, which is why I used the pleating technique on my second card as well.

This one just screams girly to me. I love the polka dots! These papers were another Mom purge. The ribbon I used was American Crafts. I've had it in my stash for years and it was patiently waiting for this project to come along. I added mini pearls to the scalloped circle for a little extra wow factor. Totally Cutesy!

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Scrap Sassy!
