Hello Everyone!
I was catching up on some cardmaking the other day (lots of birthdays coming up) and trying to think of something different to try in order to challenge my creativity and ward off boredom. I was digging through my patterned paper tub and found some Tinkering Ink paper that's a few years old. To be perfectly honest, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it. The colors are bright and garish, the flowers are huge and kinda Picaso-like, and it's just not my usual style, which could possibly be the reason that it's still sitting in my paper tub taking up space.
So my challenge was to use a piece of ugly paper and make it into something I like. As I looked at the paper, I realized I was drawn to the pattern (like old wallpaper) and the aqua color, but it needed a cool, flirty color to update it. Like hot pink! So after adding a border strip, a bit of ribbon, some flowers, and bling, I was quite pleased with my finished product. But I didn't stop there. Why not take it a step further and decorate the inside of your card? I just love playing with my new iRock tool, so I added even more bling to the inside.
So at the end of the day, as I lay my head on my pillow, I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that there's one less piece of ugly paper in the world;)
Until next time, Scrap Sassy!
